Nel 1974 la Gilera si ritira la squadra corse ufficiale dai campionati mondiali di Cross ed Enduro e stipula un accordo con la ELMECA (Elettromeccanica Cafasse) per l’assemblaggio di una serie di moto di 125cc vicine a quelle ufficiali utilizzate l’anno precedente.Il motore è fornito direttamente dalla Gilera mentre tutto il resto e reperito sul mercato o fatto realizzare dall’azienda la cui sede è in provincia di Torino.La colorazione della Gilera-Elmeca 125 è volutamente differente da quella che ha identificato negli anni precedenti le moto ‘ufficiali’. La Gilera-ELMECA 125 fu la ‘replica delle formidabili Gilera col motore a due tempi che ottennero tanti successi nelle gare di Regolarità della prima metà degli anni ’70. Nel 1978 si chiude l'esperienza e la Gilera riprende il controllo della squadra corse ufficiale .
Modello molto raro, sono state prodotte poche moto Gilera - Elmeca, moto originale, targa nuova e documenti regolari, un solo proprietario precedente, parcheggiata funzionante da 3 anni in garage al coperto, motore potente con ammissione a disco rotante, vendo per riduzione parco moto
In 1974 Gilera withdrew from the Cross and Enduro World Championships and signed an agreement with ELMECA (Elettromeccanica Cafasse) for the assembly of a series of 125cc motorcycles close to the official ones used the previous year. The engine is supplied directly by Gilera, while everything else is found on the market or made by the company based in the province of Turin.
The colour of the Gilera-Elmeca 125 is deliberately different from the one that has identified the 'official' bikes in previous years. The Gilera-ELMECA 125 was the 'replica of the formidable Gilera with two-stroke engines that achieved so much success in the Regularity races of the first half of the 70s. In 1978 the experience came to an end and Gilera regained control of the official racing team.
Very rare model, few Gilera motorcycles have been produced - Elmeca, original motorcycle, new license plate and regular documents, only one previous owner, parked in working order for 3 years in an indoor garage, powerful engine with rotating disc admission, I sell for reduction of the motorcycle fleet
