1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth – Only 73,240 km – Moonstone BlueThe Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a true 1980s icon – a road car developed by Ford Motorsport with one clear goal: to dominate Group A racing. And it certainly did. Hugely successful in touring car championships such as DTM, BTCC, and even in rallying after the end of Group B.
First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1985, production began in July 1986. A total of 5,545 units of the first series were produced, of which 500 were converted into the legendary RS500 Cosworth. All cars were built at Ford’s Genk factory in Belgium, in both left- and right-hand drive versions.
This particular 1987 example is finished in the iconic Moonstone Blue, one of just three available colours. It has an exceptionally low mileage of only 73,240 km.

1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth – Slechts 73.240 km – Moonstone Blue
De Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is een icoon uit de jaren ’80 – een rasechte homologatiespecial ontwikkeld door Ford Motorsport met één doel: domineren in de Groep A-races. En dat deed hij ook. Succesvol in toerwagenkampioenschappen als de DTM, het BTCC en zelfs in rally’s na het verdwijnen van Groep B.
Deze Cosworth werd voor het eerst voorgesteld op de Autosalon van Genève in maart 1985, en kwam uiteindelijk in productie vanaf juli 1986. In totaal werden er 5.545 exemplaren gebouwd van de eerste serie, waarvan 500 werden omgebouwd tot de legendarische RS500. Alle auto’s werden geproduceerd in de Ford-fabriek in Genk, België, zowel in links- als rechtsgestuurde uitvoering.
Dit specifieke exemplaar, gebouwd in 1987, is uitgevoerd in de iconische kleur Moonstone Blue, een van de slechts drie beschikbare lakkleuren. De wagen heeft een originele kilometerstand van slechts 73.240 km – uitzonderlijk laag voor een auto van dit kaliber.
