Film Car – Ford Ranchero Squire 1974

For sale from our private collection: an original American pickup with woodgrain trim – the top “Squire” version (only 3,150 units produced).
Under the hood is a V8 302 (5.0) with Edelbrock intake and 600cfm carburetor. It responds beautifully to throttle and has that true American character.
The sound of the V8 is brutal, thanks to custom-made stainless steel exhausts (63 mm) with 85 mm tips – exactly how it should sound.

Rear shock absorbers are pressure-adjustable – when inflated, they can lift the bed, which is a cool and practical detail.
At the time, the Ranchero was the pickup version of the Ford Torino, and a direct competitor to the Chevy El Camino.

The car underwent restoration around 2008 and has been part of our collection since 2010, so it has always been well taken care of.

An interesting fact: this is an actual movie vehicle, featured in the upcoming American horror film “The Strangers – Chapter 3,” filmed in Slovakia.
In the movie, it belonged to Sheriff’s Deputy Walters, and the main role is played by Madelaine Petsch (known from the TV series Riverdale).
The third installment is coming out next year – the last photo is taken directly from the filming set.
