Starting in 1999, ALPINA manufactured the B3 based on the BMW 3 Series E46. Officially designated the BMW Alpina B3 3.3, the car was available in sedan, station wagon, coupe, and convertible body styles.
The production model made its official debut at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show with a 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder engine delivering 206 kW (280 hp). In 2002, the B3 was further developed into the 3.3 S with 224 kW and remained in production until 2006.
